Season 1
Love Gov portrays the federal government as an overbearing boyfriend—Scott “Gov” Govinsky—who foists his “good intentions” on hapless, idealistic college student, Alexis. Each episode follows Alexis's relationship with Gov as his intrusions wreak (comic) havoc on her life, professionally, financially, and socially. Alexis's loyal friend Libby tries to help her see Gov for what he really is—a menace. But will Alexis come to her senses in time?

Who are these people, anyway?
Alexis
Alexis had big dreams: for college, starting a business, owning her own home, and more. She didn't count on Gov's help sending her into reset. She's ready to put Gov behind her and move on — now if only Libby would stop talking to her about ridesharing apps.
“Gov”
Scott “Gov” Govinsky likes to think of himself as a Renaissance Man, but without so much beard. He's got degrees in engineering, healthcare and economics, and can speak Arabic in a pinch — and he's here to help, whether you like it or not.
Libby
Did someone say, “blockchain”? If you haven’t heard of that, Libby would love to fill you in. Plus, if you ask, she might even lend you her copy of Democracy in America — volumes 1 and 2. That's how good a friend she is.
Drone
In a classic case of bait and switch, Gov promised that Drone would be helping people and keeping the world safe for democracy — who knew that meant spying on everyone? Hopefully, Drone will be removed from the Spy Life for good and make it in the real world. Perhaps Prime Air is hiring!
