Hugo J. Faria is an Adjunct Fellow at the Independent Institute and Professor of Economics and Finance at the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administracion in Caracas, Venezuela. He received his Ph.D. in financial economics from the University of South Carolina, and his articles have appeared in numerous scholarly journals including Managerial Finance, Financial Management, and Journal of Financial Research.
