William R. White
William R. White is Chairman of the Economic Development and Review Committee for the OECD. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Manchester.
A member of the Issing Committee, which advises Chancellor Merkel of Germany on matters pertaining to international financial stability, he has been a featured speaker at numerous events organized by the G-20.
Dr. White held the position of Economic Adviser at the Bank of International Settlements from 1995 to 2008, heading one of the world's most highly regarded teams of macroeconomists. Previously, Dr. White spent 25 years in central banking, leaving the Bank of Canada in 1994 as Deputy Governor (International).
