Paul W. McCracken
Paul W. McCracken is the Edmund Ezra Day Distinguished University Professor Emeritus of Business Administration, Economics, and Public Policy at the University of Michigan. He is former Chairman of the President's Council of Economic Advisors.
Professor McCracken received his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University, and he has also served as Chairman of the National Bureau of Economic Research, Director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, and Economist in the U.S. Department of Commerce.
His books include On Key Economic Issues, Unemployment in an Expanding Economy: The Long View, 1970: The Year of Transition, Foreign Trade, Economic Priorities in the Nineteen Seventies, and Taxes and Economic Growth in Michigan.
