Gabriel X. Martinez is chair and associate professor of business and economics at Ave Maria University. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Notre Dame, and he has served in the Office of Evaluation and Oversight for the Inter-American Development Bank, Central Bank of Ecuador, and the Department of Finance in the Banco La Previsora in Guayaquil. His scholarly articles have appeared in the Cambridge Journal of Economics, Cuestiones Económicas, Journal of Business Ethics, and Journal of International Economics.
