Peter Minowitz is Professor of Political Science at Santa Clara University (SCU). He received his Ph.D. in political science from Harvard University, and he is an Emerging Issues Fellow in the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, Co-founder of the Political Theory Study Group, and Director of the Political Science Honors Program at SCU.
A contributor to numerous volumes, he is the author of the books, Straussophobia: Defending Leo Strauss and Straussians against Shadia Drury and Other Accusers and Profits, Priests, and Princes: Adam Smith's Emancipation of Economics From Politics and Religion.
His scholarly articles have been published in the Political Science Reviewer, Journal of the History of Economic Thought, Literature/Film Quarterly, Perspectives on Political Science, The Review of Politics, Journal of Political/Military Sociology, and Econ Journal Watch, and his popular articles have appeared in the San Jose Mercury News, Commonweal, Claremont Review of Books, RealClearPolitics, Explore, Harpers Magazine, Chronicle of Higher Education, and On-Line Library of Law & Liberty.
