Joseph P. Calhoun is Chairman and Lecturer in the Department of Economics and Assistant Director of of the Stavros Center for Economic Education at Florida State University. A graduate of Illinois State University with a B.S .in finance and economics and of DePaul University with an M.B.A., he received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Georgia.
He is the recipient of both the Undergraduate Teaching Award and Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award from the University of Georgia; Award for Excellence in Teaching and Service from the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society at Florida State University; and First Place in the Economics Communicators Contest from the Association of Private Enterprise Education and Market-Based Management Institute.
