Andy R. Rutten is a former Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at Stanford University and former Associate Editor of The Independent Review: A Journal of Political Economy. He has been Visiting Fellow at the Center in Political Economy at the Washington University; National Fellow at the Hoover Institution; Assistant Professor of Government at Cornell University; Fellow at Liberty Fund; Olin Fellow in the School of Law at Columbia University; Associate Editor, Social Science History; and Visiting Lecturer in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University.
A contributor to numerous scholarly books, Dr. Ruttens articles and reviews have appeared in such journals as the Journal of Economic History, Cornell Law Review, Journal of Law, Economics and Organization, Research in Population Economics, The Independent Review, Journal of Politics, Constitutional Political Economy, Political Science Quarterly, Public Choice, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Economic Literature, and Economics and Philosophy.
He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Washington.
