Stephen Baskerville is a Research Fellow at the Independent Institute, Associate Professor of Government at Patrick Henry College, and former President of the American Coalition for Fathers of Children. He holds a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics, and he has been a Fellow at the Howard Center for Family, Religion, and Society; Senior Lecturer of Political Science at Howard University, and as Chairman and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Politics and European Studies at Palacky University in the Czech Republic.
Dr. Baskerville is the author of the book, Taken Into Custody: The War Against Fathers, Marriage, and the Family (Cumberland House, 2007), and his writings on family and fatherhood issues have appeared in leading national and international publications, both popular and scholarly, including the Washington Post, Washington Times, Independent Review, American Conservative, Salisbury Review, Society, Human Events, Womens Quarterly, Catholic World Report, Crisis, Insight, World Net Daily, Whistleblower, The Family in America, Family Policy Review, American Spectator, The Spectator, American Enterprise National Review, Liberty, Sunday Independent, and New Presence.
He has appeared on national radio and television programs, including The OReilly Factor, Hardball with Chris Matthews, Court TV with Fred Graham and Katherine Crier, Think Tank with Ben Wattenberg, Janet Parshalls America, and others.
Professor Baskerville serves on the board of affiliates of Gendercide Watch, a human rights organization that monitors gender-selective atrocities, is an advisor to the Mens Health Network, and is a contributing editor to the journal, In Search of Fatherhood.
