Erwin A. Blackstone is Professor of Economics at Temple University and has taught at Dartmouth College and Cornell University. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan, and he is the recipient of Clark Award for Distinguished Teaching at Cornell and at Temple and the Andrisani-Frank Award for Excellence in Teaching.
The author of numerous monographs, Professor Blackstones books include Securing Home and Business: A Guide to the Electronic Security Industry (with S. Hakim) and Innovations in Electronic Government: The Thoughts of Governors and Mayors (with S. Hakim and M. Bognanno). His articles have appeared in the Atlantic Economic Journal; Evaluation and Program Planning; Children and Youth Services Review; Journal of Health Law; Journal of Communication; Journal of Health Politics: Policy, and Law; Widener Law Symposium Journal; Antitrust Bulletin; Review of Industrial Organization; Journal of Medical Systems; American Journal of Law and Medicine; and Quarterly Review of Economics and Business. And his popular articles have appeared in Privatization Watch, Security Dealer, and American City and County.
