Co-hosted with the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, this one-day conference features the Independent Institute’s Center on Entrepreneurial Innovation Director Emily Skarbek. Attendees will hear exciting talks that shed light on the movement toward economic liberty in Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East, and will discuss ways in which developing countries can achieve economic prosperity. With violent conflicts raging around the world, the day will be centered on answering this vital question: “What policies, resources, and institutions promote economic liberalization in less-developed countries struggling with political instability?” Join us for what promises to be a provocative and illuminating tour of the developing world.
