Do the two worldspolitics and nonpoliticsattract different kinds of people? Although its easy to see that incentives and constraints foster different styles of discourse and conduct, its hard to reject the hypothesis that the world of politics attracts a different mentality than the world of science, technology, and the practical arts and crafts.
