More than an epithet hurled by defensive couch potatoes, health Nazi is a term well grounded in history, as science historian Robert Proctor illustrates in his remarkable book, The Nazi War On Cancer. Although Proctor is correct to note that public health doesnt imply Nazism, he fails to see that draconian public health laws require a state apparatus strong enough to crush us.
