The American republic was patched together using the European model of Westphalian state sovereignty as a guide for what not to do—as Westphalian sovereignty logically entails wars that hamper the flowering of liberty. It is time to revive the libertarian interstate federalist tradition through the piecemeal federation of political units around the world under the U.S. Constitution to achieve more freedom for more people.
