California's K-12 public schools are planning to introduce a new curriculum for teaching social justice and ethnic studies. Sr. Fellow Williamson Evers says the curriculum is full of lessons about victimization and racial identity, instead of stressing the culture assets of minorities and their capacity to achieve. Students should be taught about historical figures such as George Washington Carver and minority entrepreneurs, says Evers. The narrow focus of ethnic studies doesn't include positive examples from all minority groups and favors certain minority groups.

Research Fellow Thomas Cargill appears on the Dan Proft show on WIND radio to talk about the history scientific racism of Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood. Sanger's interest in eugenics influenced Hitler in the 1930s. Cargill is the author of the article "

In response to China’s military exercises in the South China Sea, the US is sending aircraft carriers to China’s sphere of influence. China is claiming the South China as theirs and has fortified the area with weapons. The Philippines and Vietnam and other countries are protesting China’s actions and China’s claim to 90% of the South China Sea. Eland says the US has the most dominant navy is world history and is encroaching on “China's neighborhood.”
